Hansen IP Law PLLC is pleased to launch our blog, entitled “the Business of Patents.” Our focus here will be to discuss the topics that seem to be of frequent interest to clients and also to address the development and enforcement of patent portfolios from a client’s perspective, as opposed to that of a patent practitioner. We will also discuss topics that are making the news in the patent world, since patent developments seem to be in the news more and more. From time to time, we may slip in a copyright, trademark, or trade secret topic to keep things fresh.

I am the blog author, Steve Hansen. I have been practicing patent law since 1998 and have focused heavily both in the procurement and enforcement of patents. I formed Hansen IP Law in 2009 after nearly a decade of big firm practice in both Los Angeles and Detroit.
